Social Justice

“Born equal and free”

What’s that saying, money doesn’t buy happiness? The perspective of most people is not to be rich, but to be happy and healthy. That begins with raising happy and healthy children. Our main focus is making paid maternity leave a requirement in an effort to help maintain happiness in a family. We are also promoting more support for nursing mothers. In the process of helping increase the peoples satisfaction, healthcare will also be improved.

Animal Abuse

“What separates human from animal?”

The impact animals have on humans is so substantial, it’s heartbreaking and infuriating the way they are treated. Population of domesticated animals is a big concern right now. An increase of animals means more animals to be neglected and homeless cluttering shelters. The abuse doesn’t end in homes. Zoos, aquariums, the circus, puppy mills, the food industry, etc. are all responsible for animal abuse on a daily basis.

  • Ethical treatment of animals
  • Limit number of household pets
  • More regulations protecting endangered species
  • Construct income based spay and neuter clinics
  • Create no kill shelters
  • Ambulances for animals

Crime and Justice

“Same crime, same punishment”

Although United States holds 22% of the world’s inmate population, our sentences are longer accumulating larger numbers. To give an example, the average burglary sentence in the United States is 16 months, compared to 5 months in Canada and 7 months in England. As of last year, according to a report released by the American Civil Liberties Union, more than 3,200 people were serving life in prison without parole for nonviolent crimes.
