Every day, people in the United States are discriminated against because of their sexuality, gender identity, race, religion, citizen status, and social status. It’s time to make a drastic change.

The Rainbow Party believes in egalitarianism, which is the belief that all people are equal and deserve equal opportunities no matter what. It is a political party centered around the protection of LGBT rights, non-violence, and social justice for all members of our society, including illegal immigrants, the homeless, Muslims, POC (people of color), LGBT people, Natives, and women. Our goal is to protect members of the LGBT community for generations to come by ensuring equality for every citizen of the United States of America no matter your race, religion, sexuality, status, and gender.

The Rainbow Party is a voice for those who are often silenced because of discrimination. We represent those who are too scared of being judged by their fellow citizens, to speak up for what they believe in.

Protection of LGBT Rights

The Rainbow Party believes that all LGBT rights deserve to be fulfilled including gay marriage, use of bathrooms for transgender people, and LGBT people being allowed to visit any business of their choosing. LGBT is an acronym that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender and represents any person who falls under the queer umbrella such as non binary people. Non binary people are people who don’t feel like they associate with one of the common genders, male or female, and often consider themselves both or even neither male or female. No one should have their rights taken away from them because of their gender identity or sexual preference. The Rainbow Party aims to ensure rights for all LGBT people in the United States.

Separation of Church and State

The Rainbow Party believes that religious views should not dictate how the government is run. The majority of our presidents and Supreme Court officials have all been of Christian faith. There are many other religions that deserve to be recognized in the United States government because the United States, after all, is a melting pot of people from all over the world, believing in all different religions not just Christianity. Regarding gay marriage and abortion rights, lawmakers should not be basing the laws they pass on their own moral values. The United States has almost 319 million people with 319 different opinions and different moral values. Morals based on lawmakers religious beliefs should not have an effect on the entire United States population because the population is very diverse in their thoughts and beliefs.

Equality in the Workplace

The Rainbow Party believes that every single citizen should have equal and fair employment opportunities. The current wage gap between men and women’s salaries will be closed and women will begin to earn the same amount as men do, as they rightfully should. Women will also not be allowed to be denied employment because of society stereotypes being forced upon her, such as having children and being married. Women’s right to hold combat positions in all branches of the military will be preserved and broadened to include more women, especially in the United States Marine Corps Infantry, where as of May 2016, only two women were able to call themselves female infantry Marines.
